Seminar covering the demonstrated Warning of Approaching Trains solution

You are very welcome to this digital half hour seminar where Digital Tvilling presents the results and lessons learned from the demonstrated solution Warning of Approaching Trains, an innovative and cost-effective solution to support safe passage for travelers at unattended level crossings.

Sweden has approximately 3500 unattended level crossings between railroad and other types of roads. To rebuild all level crossings e.g. install physical barriers is not considered feasible. In 2019, the Swedish government mandated that the Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket) address the issue. Trafikverket initiated a pre-commercial procurement inviting actors to find innovative alternate solutions to physical safety measures. During 2020 Digital Tvilling was awarded the Warning of Approaching Trains (WAT) project. The WAT solution was successfully demonstrated in 2022 by Digital Tvilling during 5 demonstrations at 4 different locations.
